Biography
Professor Li Jintao is currently the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of Institute of Computing Technology (ICT), Chinese Academy of Sciences. In 1989, he received his Ph.D. in computer science from ICT, and worked in ICT after graduation. He spent the years of 1989, 1990 at Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic as a visiting scholar. Professor Li was the former Deputy Director of Beijing Municipal Science & Technology Commission and the current Deputy Director of Beijing Natural Science Foundation of China. He is the Associate Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Computer Research and Development, and is also serving on the Editorial Boards of Journal of Computer-Aided Design & Computer Graphics. He has conducted many years' research on Multimedia Technology, Pervasive Computing Technology, and Virtual Reality Technology. His current research interests focus on the areas of digital image processing, video coding, multimedia content analysis and retrieval, digital watermarking, and network computing technology etc. Professor Li took charge many of projects supported by National Natural Science Foundation, National Basic Research Program of China (973 Program), National High Technology and Research Development Program of China (863 Program), Beijing Science and Technology Planning Program of China, and Chinese Academy of Sciences, etc. He has received a National Scientific and Technological Progress Award (Second Class) , two Beijing Science and Technology Progress Awards (First Class), a Science and Technology Progress Award of Chinese Academy of Sciences (Second Class), two Natural Science Awards of Chinese Academy of Sciences (Second Class) and a Natural Science Award of Chinese Academy of Sciences (Third Class).Professor Li Jintao is currently the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of Institute of Computing Technology (ICT), Chinese Academy of Sciences.
