Research Interest
Dr. Shu mainly works on the aerosol chemistry. His main research interests are to characterize aerosol particles and investigate heterogeneous reactions of aerosols by the method of mass spectrometry. A vacuum ultraviolet photoionization aerosol time-of-flight mass spectrometer and a bioaerosol time-of-flight mass spectrometer have been developed recently by his group. Many heterogeneous reactions of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon and pesticide particles have been investigated in real-time with the vacuum ultraviolet photoionization aerosol time-of-flight mass spectrometer.
