Biography
Dr. Ranhao Sun is Assistant Professor of Geography and Landscape ecology in The Research Center for Eco-environmental Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He obtained a M.S. of physical geography (2005) in Lanzhou University, and a Ph.D. of remote sensing and GIS (2008) in The Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences. His work mainly focuses on implementing national scientific projects and related international collaborations. His research interest is the broad environmental aspects of land use changes. His current studies focus on two fields: (1) urban heat island effects in large cities related to landscape design and planning; and (2) ecosystem services evaluation and modeling using GIS and remote sensing technologies
