Biography
Tao Peng is the Principal Investigator of Guangzhou Institute of Biomedicine and Health Chinese Academy of Sciences China. He earned his PhD at University of Pennsylvania Philadelphia USA. Currently he is the Head of Viral Immunology Laboratory and Adjunct Professor in University of Science and Technology of China. He is an enlisted scientist for Hundred Talents Programme. He is the Chief Editor of the book Isothermal Nucleic Acid Amplification Technology and Application. He is also an author of book chapters of Molecular Gene Medicine and Platform Technologies in New Drug Discovery. He is the inventor of more than 10 patents. Dr Peng has many publications on peer reviewed journals.
Research Interest
His main research focus is on understanding of virus-host interaction, to discover novel drug targets and to develop new antiviral screening assays.
