Biography
Dr Yi-Jian Yao, BSc, MAgr, PhD (London), Professor of Mycology, awardee of Introduction of Overseas Outstanding Talents by Chinese Academy of Sciences and of National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars by National Natural Science Foundation of China. He currently serves as Director of Fungarum, Chinese Academy of Sciences (HMAS). He is also an Honorary Research Associate of Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew; Deputy Director of the Working Group for Agricultural and Forest Biodiversity of the Chinese National Committee for Diversitas; Member of the IAPT Nomenclature Committee for Fungi and of the Biodiversity Committee, Chinese Academy of Sciences; Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Fungal Research, Life Worldand Wuyi Science Journal; Editor of Mycosystema, Plant Diversity and Resources, Acta Edulis Fungi, Cryptogamic Flora of China and Scientific Reports.
