Biography
ACADEMIC EXPERIENCE  Assistant Professor, State Key Laboratory of Management and Control for Complex System, Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Science, Beijing, China, July 2008-present EDUCATION  Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Science Ph.D of Engineering, June 2008, supervised by Prof. Min Tan Ph.D. Thesis Title: Research on Modeling, Control and Cooperation of a Marsupial Biomimetic Robotic Fish  Department of Automation, University of Southeast. Bachelor of Science, June 2003. RESEARCH OVERVIEW His research works focused on the robot, especially the bio-inspired robot and mobile robot. The research interests include prototype design, the dynamic/kinematic modeling and environment detect. In the form works, he designed a series of robotic fish and dolphins based on multi-link structure, including the prototype, the motion model and control. An intensive study is made on the backward swimming of carangiform robot fish, the pitch motion, the depth maintain and the cooperation of a marsupial robotic fish team. A motion model of freely-swimming robotic fish is built to investigate the motion characteristics, such as the effect of head’s oscillation. Some works on mobile robot are researched such as obstacle detect and model, motion planning.
