Biography
Chengqing Zong is a professor of the National Laboratory of Pattern Recognition (NLPR) at the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). As a principal he has undertaken over 10 projects sponsored by the Natural Science Foundation of China, and the High-Tech. Program ("863" Program) of China. He has been actively involved in some international research collaboration projects. He has published papers in premier journals and conferences, including Computational Linguistics, Information Sciences, IEEE Intelligent Systems, IEEE Transactions on Audio, Speech, and Language Processing (TASLP), ACL, EMNLP, COLING, AAAI, and IJCAI. His papers received the Best Paper Award at PACLIC'2009 and NLPCC'2012. He has also served as the associate editor of ACM Transactions on Asian and Low-Resource Language Information Processing (TALLIP) (July 2009 − ) and an editorial board member of IEEE Intelligent Systems (Aug. 2010 − ) and Machine Translation (Jan. 2012 − ). He is a permanent member of the International Committee on Computational Linguistics (ICCL). He was Chair of ACL-SIGHAN (2014 − 2015) and program co-chair of ACL-IJCNLP'2015. Research Interest
His research focuses on machine translation, natural language processing, and sentiment classification.
