Biography
Prof. Chen Keji is currently Professor of Internal Medicine of Xi Yuan Hospital, Beijing and Principal Researcher of the China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine. As one of the pioneers in integrated Chinese and Western medicine, Professor Chen is an expert in cardiovascular and geriatric diseases. He is a key participant in the development of Coronary Tablet II as well as a compound prescription for improving qi and activating blood circulation for treating coronary disorder and relapsing angina. Prof. Chen also sorted out the original medical archives preserved in the Imperial Palace of the Qing Dynasty and published the Medical Prescriptions Written for Cixi and Guangxu with Commentary. A distinguished researcher and a dedicated educator, Professor Chen has produced over 240 academic papers and nurtured some 60 post-doctoral researchers and postgraduate students. He has won many prestigious awards in his career spanning 50 years, including the Albert Einstein World Award of Science, and was elected an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
