Biography
Dr. Xueping Wu joined The CityU in 1995 after obtaining a PhD in Applied Economics (in the area of Finance) from K.U. Leuven (Belgium). He has been teaching Financial Management, Corporate Finance, Investment, and International Financial Management. He has also been supervising Mphil and PhD students. His research interests are both theoretical and empirical, covering Corporate Finance, Asset Pricing and Capital Markets, and International Finance. He has published articles in high quality academic journals such as The Journal of Business, JFQA, The Review of Finance, The Journal of Banking and Finance, The Journal of Corporate Finance, The Journal of International Money and Finance, and The Review of Derivatives Research. He has won several best paper awards including the 1999-WFA Award for the Best Paper in Corporate Finance. For avocations, he likes hiking, swimming and practicing Tai-chi, and he has been many times Champions of Staff-50/100m Breast-stroke at the CityU Annual Aquatic Meets since 1996.
