Biography

Zhongxuan Luo is a professor and having expertise in Computational Geometry, Image and Graphics Processing and Computer Vision. Prof. Luo serves as the director of first-level discipline doctorate program in Software Engineering of DUT. He is the president assistant of DUT, and the dean of National Exemplary Software School of DUT, International School of Information Science & Engineering of DUT-RU, and National Exemplary Microelectronics School of DUT. Prof. Luo is the director of Liaoning Provincial Key Lab----Ubiquitous Network and Service Software Lab. He is also a member of the Software Engineering Professional Teaching Guidance Committee of China Education Ministry; the Chair of ACM-Dalian Branch; a visiting Professor of Ritsumeikan University, Japan; a member of editorial board of Journal of Information and Computational Science; a member of National Committee of Geometry. 2006-2007, he has been a visiting professor of Michigan state university and Delaware State University, USA. 1997—2000, he worked as a research fellow in Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He is the vice- president of Liaoning Provincial Ethnic Popularization Association. He takes charge of more than 20 national and provincial scientific research projects including 2 key projects supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has published more 120 research papers in the top journals and conferences, such as TSE, TOC, JMAA, SCIENCE CHINA (Mathematics). He has been awarded more than 10 provincial scientific and research prizes and academic honors.
