Biography
Andrew has a technical leadership role at EG-GILERO with a proven track record of commercializing new medical devices. After developing manufacturing processes for a wide variety of emerging technology medical devices for several years, his career path was deliberately steered towards device design while playing a pivotal role in successful product startups. This provided him a broad and practical view of the product life cycle since design and manufacturing for success should never be separate functions. Andrew began his career as a Validation Engineer with Mallinckrodt, focused on both biological and Biopharma manufacturing. He later moved into medical devices with Angiosonics where he was the Manufacturing Manager responsible for multiple design iterations of a novel ultrasonic device used to break up blood clots. Andrew combined his pharmaceutical and medical device experiences as a Project Engineer working for Bespak where he led the manufacturing development efforts in the commercialization of new respiratory products. Prior to joining EG-GILERO, Andrew directed barbed suture manufacturing development for Quill Medical for which he is a named inventor on a related patent. Andrew graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
