Biography
Professor of Classical Studies at the University of London, Distinguished Professor of the Changjiang Scholars Program of the Ministry of Education, and Vice Chairman of the China Association for the Study of Ancient Chinese History. He received a bachelor's degree in history from Fudan University in 1986 and a Ph.D. degree in classical law from the University of London in 1991. He was taught at the Department of History at Fudan University in 1991 and 2009. He was a professor at the Department of History, Peking University. 2010 - 2012 as the first director of Peking University Western Classical Studies Center. Since 2013, he has been a professor of history at Fudan University and has been the head of the Department of History and Department of Tourism at Fudan University since 2015.
