Male, born in 1947, Ph.D., professor. 1965-1970 Fudan University, Department of Biology, majoring in Botany, 1979-1987 in Wuhan University Department of Biology as a graduate student, received a master's degree in 1982, received a doctor's degree in 1987. From 1982 to 1997, he taught at the Plant Classification Research Center of Wuhan University. He served as assistant professor, lecturer and associate professor (1987), professor (1991), concurrently concurrently as deputy director (1987), postgraduate dean (1988-1997) Evolutionary Botany, Conservation Biology and Wetland Ecology 1997- Now Professor and Director (1997-2007) of the Institute of Biodiversity, Fudan University, Biodiversity Science, Nature Reserve and Wetland Ecology, etc. research work.
