Soil ecology, Ecosystem ecology, Wetland ecology His main research interests include soil ecology and subsurface-subsurface biological relationships, food web dynamics and ecosystem responses under the influence of various global change factors, spatial and temporal distribution patterns and mechanisms of aquatic biodiversity in coastal and estuarine wetlands, nematode phylogeny, Geographical distribution and ecology.
