Biography
2004 BSc, Department of Chemistry, Nanjing University 2007 MSc, Department of Chemistry, Nanjing University 2011 PhD, Department of Chemistry, Rice University, 2D single crystals, hetero-junction and frustrated materials are new rising stars in territory of chemistry. Rare in nature, these artificial structures are carefully designed and created in our lab and thrive in special chemical environment. With state-of-art in-situ optical and electrical probes, rich chemistry can be explored on surface functionalities, strain, grain boundaries and stacking orders to manipulate materials’ physical and chemical properties. Our research stretches from basic science such as crystal growth, catalysis, energy conversionmechanism to future technologies like CO2 reduction, smart-window, transparent electronics and portable health devices.
