Biography
Wang Ping,Professor,Doctor of Agriculture, master instructor. I am teaching and investigating genetics, cytology, Breeding and molecular biology forhorticultural plants. Currently, I am focusing on the following areas: Pomelo single chromosome microdissection and microcloningtechnique,Molecular control of self-incompatibility in Pomelo, embryo abortion mechanismsand flower Sex Differentiation in Litchi, fragrance of flowers etc.To date, 6 projectshave been wonat the national and provincial level since 2002, in which,Esteblisment of single chromosome AFLP molecular marking system and library construction in Pomelo(Citrus grandis (L.)Osbeck) was supported by the national foundation, Technique on high quality, high yield, stabilizing yield and processing of Litchi for Fujian province was supported by grants from Ministry of Agricultureproject. More than 20research papers were published. 10 full-time undergraduate students have been enrolled in pomology, ornamental horticulture and biology since 2002. overseas students: vailable for related master degrees in pomology, floriculture and landscape horticulture.
