Biography

Ph.D of Yu Kunyong, Associate professor, supervisor of postgraduate. Vice Dean of Forestry College, Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University (FAFU). Visiting scholar of National Taiwan University. Member of the Youth Committee of Chinese Society of Forestry and a director of the Forest Resources Management Committee of Fujian Society of Forestry. Forest Resource Monitoring and the Application of 3S Technology. He participated as a main member in the constructions of Fujian Provincial Key Lab of Resources Environmental Monitoring and Sustainable Utilization, Key Lab in Universities of 3S Technology and Resources Optimal Utilization, FAFU Institute of Applied 3S Technology and the teaching team of Fujian Provincial Environmental Information Management. Dr. Yu has attended many research projects, such as the projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China, key projects of “11th five-year” and “12th five-year” National Technology Support Program, National 948 Project, National Forestry Technology Promotion Project, Ministry of Science and Technology Personnel Services Business Project, Fujian Provincial Science and Technology Program Project, projects of Natural Science Foundation of Fujian Province, and so on. He also has led many national, provincial and ministerial research projects, and among which, Remote Sensing Monitoring and Application of Forestland Productivity Evolution, Monitoring Technology for Construction of Coastal Protective Forest System and Research on Ecological Vulnerability and Silvicultural Control Technology in Minjiang River Basin have reached the international advanced level. His scientific research achievements have gained many rewards, two of which have reached the domestic advanced level and six of which have reached the international advanced level. Six of the research achievements he participated in have got Fujian Provincial Science and Technology Award, including 1 second prize and 5 third prize. Dr. Yu is one of the co-author of “Monitoring Technology of the Key Forestry Projects”. He is now leading the Youth Project of National Natural Science Foundation and Fujian Provincial Science and Technology Program Project, etc.
