Biography
Dr. Yuting Tian was born in Yichang, Hubei province. He started his academic career as a lecturer at FAFU in 2010 after obtaining his D.E. at Northwest A&F University. In 2008, he was studied as a visiting scholar at University of Maryland supported financially by CSC funding. In 2012, he worked in CRTDC of Ministry of Science and Technology. Dr. Tian is now the deputy director at department of food engineering at FAFU. And He has graduated 4 master students, and is currently supervising another 2 students.
Research Interest
Dr. Yuting Tian’s research interests mainly focus on the mechanisms and kinetics of CoQ10 formation in red rice wine. The key enzyme (DPPS) gene in biosynthesis of CoQ10 in Monascus is being cloned. Recent research has also focused on formation mechanisms of the porous structure of lotus seeds with microwave vacuum drying and its relationship with macro-properties. The internal change mechanisms of moisture status and distribution, heat and mass transfer, thermal and wet strain, Young's modulus, and starch granule gelatinization are being systematically investigated during microwave vacuum drying process.
