Biography
Marijke Vermaak is responsible for the preparation of the biennium GGGI Work Programme and Budget, and driving strategic initiatives. Most recently she was a senior manager in KPMG South Africa’s Climate Change and Sustainability Unit. Prior to joining KPMG Marijke worked in management consulting with Mckinsey & Company in the energy, mining and financial services sectors and as a transformation and corporate sustainability consultant at First National Bank. Marijke holds an MSC in Development Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a BSc (Hons) degree majoring in Economics from Rhodes University.
