Biography
Seventeen years’ experience in a variety of accounting, finance, operations analysis, and internal audit positions in Commercial and Corporate. Strong communication and project management skills with ability to influence at all levels and across functions. Key Achievements: Transformed Finance Service Delivery in LATAM through migration of activities of Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, Ecuador and Chile to a Service Centre in Costa Rica and through the creation of In Country Shared Services, in Mexico, Argentina and Brazil. Improved internal customer experience through use of lean sigma (e.g., 17% improvement of payment on time, 60% improvement in balance sheet aged balances) and professionalized service delivery through the implementation of tools and changes to ways of working. Expanded the Team from nearly 50 headcount in Costa Rica to a total of 220 in Costa Rica and the ICSSs. Led the selection and building of a 1500 sqm office space for the Finance Service in Costa Rica, including migration to new space and change in ways of working. Led the financial stream of GSK Global ERP Strategy from idea to GSK Board approval with a total one time investment of £650m, including SAP deployment in major markets and business reorganization in order to move to a Global Financial Service. Led the implementation of a new operating model which included the set-up of a service centre in India and a service centre team in UK. Total team reduction of 50% with an operational expenditure saving of 30%. Led the financial stream for a customer group reorganization that delivered 25% Operational Expenditure reduction by 2011. Developed business models for a business case to expand a peer to peer marketing program at 200 colleges’ campuses in the US that included 400 students. Led financial and operational audits in all business sectors and areas. Conducted the implementation of the financial module of SAP system.
