Biography
Dr. Zheng a Principle Investigator at Guangzhou Institutes of Biomedicine and Health of Chinese Academy of Sciences, was born in September, 1983 in Wuhu, Anhui Province. He studied in Tsinghua University. He got his Ph.D. degree in Department of Pharmacology University of Minnesota in 2010. After one year postdoctoral training, he joined the GIBH at the end of 2010. His research was focused on neuroscience and stem cell biology. 1) The differentiation and trans-differentiation related to neural stem cells and neurons both in vitro and in vivo; 2) adult neurogenesis in SGZ in hippocampus and the contextual learning and memory; 3) Cellular and molecular mechanisms related to the induced pluripotent stem cells and embryonic stem cells, especially their differentiation potential to neurons. 4) G protein-coupled receptor in central never system. He has published seven manuscripts in PNAS, JNS, JBC etc., as corresponding author since 2008.
