Biography
Dr Alice Kong is Associate Professor at the Department of Medicine and Therapeutics, CUHK. She graduated from the CUHK and became a Fellow of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine with accreditation in Advanced Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism. In collaboration with psychiatrists, pediatricians, nutritionists, hepatologists and islets biologists, she has been studying the epidemiology and underlying pathogenetic mechanisms of circadian rhythm, fatty liver, depression and cancer in relation to diabetes in Chinese populations.
Research Interest
Her research interests include obesity, insulin resistance and diabetes with particular focus on lifestyle factors and cardiovascular risk factors clustering in adults and adolescents.
