Biography
Cai Qizhou is a professor of Materials Processing Engineering, vice chairman of Chinese Cast Irons and Melting Technology Committee, a member of Casting Save Engineering Technical Committee. He is in the editorial board of the journal of Special Casting & Nonferrous Alloys, and the journal of Modern Cast Iron. He received his BS and MS from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China in 1986 and 1989 respectively and Ph. D from Muroran Institute of Technology, Japan in 2000. He has published more than 100 papers in journals and conferences. His research interests include solidification and control of microstructure and properties of cast alloys (cast iron, cast steel and cast nonferrous alloys), CAD/CAE for castings and Microarc oxidation of Al, Mg, Ti alloys. In these areas, he is founded by the National Natural Foundation of China, the Important National Science and Technology Specific Project of China.
