Biography
Deng Lei received the BS., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Optoelectronics and Information Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China, in 2006, 2008 and 2013, respectively. He was in the Technical University of Denmark as a guest Ph.D. Student from 2010-2012. Now, he is an instructor in School of Optical and Electronic information, Huazhong University of Science and Technology. His research interests include fiber-optic communications, advanced modulation formats and OFDM in radio-over-fiber systems and next generation passive optical network systems. He is now undertaking and participating many national projects, such as National 863 Advanced Technology Foundation Project of China, National Nature Science Foundation Program of China, and Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities’s HUST. He was able to publish a total of 40 journal and conference papers, of which more than 20 journal papers have been indexed by SCI. All the published papers have been cited more than 190 times, and the H-factor is 6. He is now the peer reviewer for some international academic journals such as JLT, IEEE PTL, OE, and OL.
