Biography
Guiping Xu is an associate professor of Computer Sciences at Huazhong University of Science and Technology. His main research interests include database systems, data mining, algorithm and embedded systems. Earlier in his career he primarily worked on advanced database technologies, such as distributed active real-time database, main memory database, data stream processing, sensor network and RFID data management. Currently he focus on scalable probabilistic query processing on uncertain database, big data analytics, and local search algorithms based on probabilistic inference for large scale satifiability problem(SAT).​
