Biography

Lei Wen is the Associate Professor at School of Optical and Electronic Information in HUST. His research activities are mainly concerned with microwave dielectric materials and devices for microwave communication at the Key Lab of Functional Materials for Electronic Information (B), Minister of Education, China. He has undertaken more than 10 research projects supported by the National Natural Science Funds and National Defense Basic Scientific Research, etc. And about 50 academic papers have been published and several research productions have been applied successfully for antenna, resonator and LTCC. From 2013 to 2014, he worked with Prof. Derek C Sinclair and Prof. Anthony R West at Department of Materials Science and Engineering in the University of Sheffield, UK, as an academic visitor to study electrode/sample interfaces, surface layers, electro-active grain boundaries, core-shell phenomena in electroceramics using impedance and modulus spectroscopy. Now his research interests include: (1) dielectric ceramics with serial permittivity, high breakdown voltage or anti-reducing properties;(2) novel LTCC with controllable shrinkage and thermal expansion; (3) forming technology for large-size and complicated-shape electronic devices; (4) microwave dielectric antenna with miniaturization size.
