Biography
Mao Chengxiong is the professor of Dept. of Electrical Engineering, School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering inHuazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST). His research interests include power system operation and control, and applications of high power electronic technology to electric power systems. He focuses on excitation control of generator, electronic power transformer, power system dynamic simulation, and DC power transmission. He has published papers in the principal research journals in the area of electrical engineering. Moreover, he has coauthored two books and has been granted twenty-some Chinese patents. He is the recipient of the National Science and Technology Advance Award, Provincial and Ministerial-Level Science and TechnologyAdvanceAwards, and Gold Medal of the 41st International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva. He has been awarded and supported by the Excellent Young Teachers Program and the New Century Excellent Talents of MOE, P.R.C.
