Biography

Rong Zhong is a lecturer in the department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics,School of Public Health, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology. She received PhD in 2013 from School of Public Health, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Her major area of research interest is molecular epidemiology and cancer epidemiology. She and her group employ the bioinformatics, molecular epidemiological and molecular biological approaches to examine the association between genetic variants and susceptibility to various cancers. Besides, the gene-gene and gene-environment interactions have also been explored to confer susceptibility to various cancers. The investigated studies advance in the understanding of the causative variants predisposing to cancers. She has published 54 SCI papers, such as Carcinogenesis, Clin Gastroenterol Hepatol, and Breast Cancer Res Treat, including 13 papers as first author and 2 papers as corresponding author.
