Biography
Dr. Shen Lei received his B.S. in chemistry at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 2003. In 2008, he obtained his Ph.D. in chemistry as an united student under the supervision between Prof. Chi Wu at USTC and Prof. Mitchell A Winnik at University of Toronto. It was there that he received a rigorous training in polymer physics. From 2009 to 2012, he moved to University of Minnesota as the postdoctoral fellow in Prof. Timothy P Lodge and Prof. Xiaoyang Zhu’s research groups, working on protein interaction with bio-interfaces. In Dec 2012, he went to Columbia University as an associate research scientist. He joined Huazhong University of Science and Technology in Nov 2013 as an associate professor. His research currently focuses on the physics and chemistry of bio-interfaces through combination of polymer chemistry, colloid science and chemical biology.
