Biography
Dr Sun Qizhen is the Associate Professor of Optoeletronics at School of Optical and Electronic Information (SOEI) in Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), and also the Director of Research Division of the Internet of Things Access in National Engineering Laboratory of Next Generation Internet Access System (NEL-NGIAS), China. Her research spans optical fibre photonics, sensors and lasers. She is widely published in the leading scholarly journals in optical field including Optics Express, Optics Letters, Journal of Lightwave Technology, invited to giving talks on international conferences and workshops, and owing 7 patents. She has already established strong background in the area of smart optical fibre sensing and information processing technologies.Since 2009, she has been serving as the programme & technical committee member and chair for several international conferences and symposium. She is also the reviewer of National Natural Science Foundation. She teaches the courses on Fibre Optics, Special Fibre and Device Technologies,Optical Waveguide Theories, Fibre Sensor Technologies, etc and was awarded the Outstanding Teaching Award for Young Scholars . Recipient of the Geneva International Invention Exhibition Award, Excellent Scientific Payoffs Award, Distinguished Young Scholar Award in HUST, Academic Awards for New Researchers in HUST, she is also the Adjunct Professor at Zhengzhou University in China.
