Biography
Wang Dan is the associate professor of Dept. of Electrical Engineering, School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering inHuazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST). His research interests include power system operation and control, and applications of high power electronic technology to electric power systems. He focuses on electronic power transformer, DC distribution system, and excitation control of generator. He has published papers in the principal research journals in the area of electrical engineering. Moreover, he has coauthored two books and has been granted some Chinese patents. He has been awarded several Excellent Paper Awards by Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering (CSEE), Gold Medal of the 41st International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva, and 2011-2012 Excellent Course Project Tutor in Power System Analysis.
