Biography
Wang Shaorong is the Professor at School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering in Huazhong University of Science and Technology.His research includes power system operation and control,smart grid monitoring and control,power system planning and industrial robot.He has undertaken and successfully completed many projects of difficulty,such as Synchronous Measure System of Power System Based on GPS,Monitoring and Control System of SMES and Smart Monitoring and Control System of Distribution Network.He conducts the course of Power System Automation for undergraduate students and also the course of Wide Area Measurement System of Power System and Its Application for graduate students.For his outstanding researches,he was awarded the second prize of National Scientific and Technological Progress Award and two first prize and one second prizes of Provincial Science and Technological Progress Award.He is a teacher of high popularity and received a prize of Exemplary Teacher in 2012.
