Biography
Wenbin Jiang is an Associate Professor at School of Computer Science and Technology of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST). His research spans parallel distributed computing, multimedia computing and computer vision. He focuses on questions such as how to speedup diversified multimedia algorithms by many-core computing architectures, what kind of parallel programming modes are more suitable for multimedia computing, how to make the computer vision algorithms smarter and more efficient by parallel computing. He has published more than 40 articles over a series of research topics in some important conferences and journals such as NOSSDAV, ICME, ITCSVT, Springer Computing. He has been in charge of various important national projects such as science & technology pillar program, sub-project of 973, natural science foundation. He has got 10 patents. He has been PC chairs, publicity chairs, PC members of more than 50 international conferences. He is now a member of the IEEE Computer Society and China Computer Federation.
Research Interest
