Wu Yizhong
Professor
School of Mechanical Science and Engineering
Huazhong University of Science and Technology
China
Biography
He received his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Southeast University in 1999 April. From April 1999 to June 2001, He did postdoctoral research in mechanical engineering school of Huazhong University of science and technology. In 2001, He became a staff of HUST and was appointed as an associate professor in the same year. In 2008, he was promoted as a professor. He has been engaged in mechanical design, CAD and computer graphics, multi-disciplinary optimization, multi domain modeling and simulation for teaching and researching for more than 15 years. With the requirement of scientific research and teaching, from January 2009 to January 2010, he has been studied at University of Victoria in Canada as a visiting scholar, supervised by the famous Chinese scholar, Professor Dong Zuomin, who was the director of mechanical engineering department of University of Victoria, where he engaged in research on hybrid modeling, simulation and optimization of the electric car. From 2000, he began to supervise graduate students. Until now a total of more than 20 master students and 4 doctoral students has been graduate from his group.
