Biography
Dr. Xu Jing received her PhD degree in Optical Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) in China in December 2008. During her PhD studies, most efforts were devoted to all-optical signal processing using different high nonlinear materials. Her Ph.D thesis was nominated as national “Top 100 Doctoral Thesis” in 2012. In the year 2009 and 2010, she has been a postdoctoral fellow at Technical University of Denmark (DTU), working on the project “Nanophotonics for Terabit Communications” (NATEC). Since 2011, she worked on an independent postdoc project, “Mode Division Multiplexing for Ultra-Large Capacity Backbone Optical Transmission Systems,” attained from the Danish Agency for Science, Technology and Innovation. From November 2013, Dr. Xu joined the school of optical and electronic information (HUST) as an associate professor.
