Biography
Xu Min is the Associate Professor in School of Foreign Languages at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST). Her research spans translation theory, translation pedagogy, translating Chinese culture into English. She also cares for translation and intercultural communication. She focuses on questions such as: What affects the translation product and translation effect in translating non-literary translation? How can we develop the Chinese translation theory by absorbing useful foreign translation theory? What will be the efficient ways to improve translation pedagogy and translator training? She is the secretary of translation study center. She is published in the leading scholarly journals in translation theory studies and translation pedagogy research. Professor Xu teaches courses of College English Intensive Reading, College English Listening, English Newspaper reading as well as Translating Chinese Culture into English.
