Biography
Dr.Yang Zhenyu is working as Professor of Optical and Electronic Information Department, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China. After completing his PhD in physical electronics in 2004 at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST, China), he spent two years as a postdoc at University of Nebraska-Lincoln (U.S.A.). From 2007-2012 he was an associate Professor at HUST, since 2012 he is a full Professor and vice director of the Opto-electronic engineering department at HUST. His research interests comprise Nanophotonics, photonic crystals, photonic metamaterials, and integrated optics. This research has led to various awards and honors, among which are Top Ten Graduates in scientific research (the most valuable graduate honor in HUST) 2004, the First Prize in teaching competition of young teachers HUST, 2010. He is a member of the Optical Society of America (since 2012).
