Biography
Professor Zhou Xingping received his PhD degree from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2007. From Nov 2000 to Feb 2001, and Dec 2004 to Jun 2005, he worked as a research assistant at the Department of physics and Materials Science, City University of Hong Kong; from Jul 2013 to Sep 2013, and Jul 2014 to Aug 2014, as a research fellow at the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. From Jul 2009 to Jul 2010, he was a visiting scholar at the School of Aerospace, Mechanical & Mechatronic Engineering, The University of Sydney, Australia, in close research collaboration with Professor Yiu-Wing Mai who is a fellow of Royal Society of London, international fellow of Royal Academy of Engineering, fellow of Australian Academy of Science, fellow of Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering and a member of European Academy of Sciences. His research interests focus on polymer blends and composites, and polymer rheology and processing. He has published over 40 research papers and received over 20 granted China invention patent in the research areas. And he obtained the first Prize of Natural Science Award of Hubei Province, China, in 2007, and the Second Prize of the State Natural Science Award, China, in 2010. He is also the director of Department of Chemical Engineering in the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
