Yung-chih Wang

Biography

Dr. Wang is responsible for HUYA Bioscience International’s corporate development in China, ensuring optimal planning and execution of strategies to build HUYA’s team and collaborative networks in China. Dr. Wang has over 15 years of industry experience in global pharmaceutical R&D and alliances and business development, plus 16 years of academic research in biochemistry and molecular biology. Prior to joining HUYA, she led various projects at Ferring Pharmaceuticals in drug target identification and validation, drug screening and mode of action determination. She established and managed multiple collaborations with external groups, formed and implemented strategic plans for drug discovery programs, and synthesized knowledge from scientific and marketing data for management decision-making. She received her PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Iowa, postdoctoral training at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, and MBA from the Rady School of Management at University of California, San Diego. Her MS in Biochemistry and BSc in Botany were from National Taiwan University.
