Biography
Dr. Wang’s primary responsibility is the area of product evaluation, in-licensing and development. He brings 11 years of industrial small molecule drug discovery experience focusing on inflammation and autoimmune diseases to HUYA. Prior to joining HUYA Bioscience International, Dr. Wang was a senior medicinal chemist at CaliciMedica Inc and Kemia Inc where he was one of the key members pushed multiple projects from lead identification all the way to phase II clinic. Dr. Wang received his BS and MS in Chemistry from Nankai University, China. After working two years as research associate at Nankai University, he went to Germany to pursue Ph. D. degree majoring in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Heidelberg University. Upon graduation Dr. Wang continued postdoctoral training at Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH), Switzerland and The Scripps Research Institute (TSRI), USA under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Albert Eschenmoser.
