Biography
Ying Li is a Research Staff Member from Center for Computational Health at IBM T. J. Watson Research Center. She obtained a Ph.D. in Biomedical Informatics at Columbia University on June, 2015. Her dissertation is about combining spontaneous reporting systems and observational healthcare data to detect adverse drug reactions (Pharmacovigilance). Her research focuses on applying data mining, statistical modeling and text mining to various medical data, including electronic health records, scientific literature and case reports to address real world problems in healthcare. She also has research experience on medication appropriate use, unmet medical needs and biomedical natural language processing.
