Biography
Xue chao joined IBM China Research Lab (system group) at April 2011, as a R&D researcher on wireless communication and compute system. He received his B.A. and M.S degree in Electronic Communication Engineering from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Beijing, China, in 2008 and 2011, respectively. Now xue chao joins in two global research directions: one is next generation radio access network (RAN) architecture (wireless network cloud), and the other one is wireless system and optimization for IoT (Internet of Things). In the wireless network cloud(WNC) project, he takes the responsibility of multi-thread management, parallelization of wireless stack and optimization of iBSP performance on multi-core system. In the IoT project, he focuses on the MAC layer scheduling. His interested field includes wireless radio resource management (resource scheduling, call admission control, power and rate adaptation), programming on multi-core/multi-thread system, virtualization, signal processing and energy efficient wireless communication.
