Dr. Lily Ouyang

Biography

Dr. Lily Ouyang received the dental degree from China Medical University, School of Dentistry in Taiwan in 1997. After 2 years of clinical experience with emphasis in cosmetic dentistry, she continued her professional education in Sydney University, School of Dentistry in Australia. In 2001, she returned to China and joined Guree (SMD) Dental Group in Beijing as a clinical doctor in all areas of general and family dentistry. In 2003, Dr. Ouyang specialized in the field of Orthodontics (braces) and was one of three selected from among 310 applicants into the Orthodontic Post-Graduate Program in Peking University in Beijing. In 2008 she completed this five-year extensive program with her Ph.D and Specialty Certification. During this time, she also received orthodontic specialty training from the American Tweed Foundation in 2004 and Case Western Reserve University, School of Dental Medicine, Cleveland, Ohio, USA in 2007. Currently, she is a member of the St. Louis, USA-based World Federation of Orthodontists (WFO) as well as the Chinese Orthodontic Society (COS). Due to her extensive clinical knowledge and bilingual communication ability, she has done excellent translation work for several world-famous orthodontic professors such as the past President of the British Orthodontic Society and the current President of the World Federation of Orthodontists. She also participated in lectures and presentations at the FDI World Dental Federation conference in 2006 and the COS conference in 2009. Dr. Ouyang has helped hundreds of patients obtain a healthy dentition and a confident smile. She provides orthodontic care for both adults and children. She is further specialized in lingual braces, light-force orthodontic treatment (with self-ligating braces and sliding mechanics) and implant anchorage therapy, which is a crucial technique for various difficult and complicated cases. Many of her patients have gained dramatic dental and facial changes through her advanced techniques and excellent skills. Dr. Ouyang speaks fluent English and Mandarin.
