Biography
Armando García-Ortega is a Assistant Professor of Fisheries & Aquaculture.He completed his B.S., National Autonomous University of Mexico, M.S., University of Ghent, Belgium and Ph.D., Wageningen University, The Netherlands.
Research Interest
Aquaculture of local marine fish species: opakapaka (pink snapper), kahala (Almaco jack), hapuʻupuʻu (giant grouper), Nutrition and feeding of fish, Use of plant/algae-derived protein and lipid ingredients in feeds for carnivorous fish.
