Biography
Brian Wissman is currently an Associate Professor of Mathematics. His research interests include topics from nonlinear dynamics such as Gas Dynamics and Shockwaves, and analysis of nonlinear systems using Information Theory.Beginning in 2011, Dr. Wissman established and co-organizes the UH Hilo Putnam team. Outside of academics, Dr. Wissman enjoys playing Ultimate Frisbee at the Hilo Bayfront Fields and coaches AYSO soccer.
