Biography
Dr. Xiaolei Niu received her bachelor degree in 2002 from Sun Yat-sen University, master degree in 2005 from Peking University, and PhD in 2011 from University of Maryland-College Park, USA. In 2012, she returned China and joined Institute of Tibetan Plateau Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences as an associate professor. Her research interests include satellite remote sensing and radiation and the applications in the hydrological cycle and energy budgets. Currently, the focus of her work has been on the model development of remote sensing inference schemes for deriving information on surface-atmosphere radiative fluxes. She has published 3 articles as the first author in the ISI-indexed journals during her PhD study.
