Biography
ohn Ma joined Intuitive Surgical in July 2017 as part of the Global Commercial organization. Mr. Ma is Senior Vice President, Strategic Growth Initiatives & President, Intuitive Surgical China. He is responsible for building strong relationships with government agencies, technology partners and customers to help expand access to Intuitive products. He is leading a multi-year strategy for China focused on building out Intuitive’s presence and leadership position, and over time, he will build a regional team in China to support these goals. He has extensive experience working in China’s healthcare market, including leadership positions at GE, Express Scripts, Fosun Healthcare, and most recently as a consultant to Intuitive. Mr. Ma holds a B.S. in Metallurgy from Shanghai University of Engineering Science, and an M.S. and Ph.D. from Wayne State University in Materials Science and Engineering.
