Biography
Obtained PhD (Biomedical Science) NUS in the research field of Asthma, Airway Wall Remodeling. Currently a lecturer in Ngee Ann Polytechnic, in BMS course. My portfolio includes three main areas: a) Teaching and Learning: -Chemistry modules which include Organic Chemistry and Diploma Plus modules in Chemistry. -Interested in improving my skills as Education and Career Guidance Advisor which led me into attending various training courses such as Knowdell Career Advisor, Basic Counselling Skills and Intermediate Counseling Skills. b) Student Development -Advisor for LSCT Operatives which advises students on matter regarding outreach events in Ngee Ann Polytechnic such as Open House and Red Camp. -Leading various overseas trips which include Overseas Immersion Programme and Youth Expedition Projects c) Research and Development -Obtained a grant to pursue the Diagnostic Potential of Protein Aptamer Lyp-1 in Atherosclerosis. -Publication in various Journals which include Faseb Journal and Journal of Allergy (Cairo)
