Jimmy Zhang

Biography

 Jimmy is a senior executive and China expert in life sciences. He have invested and managed several biotech companies, and promotes and bridges the life sciences and healthcare industries between US and China. Jimmy is VP, Transaction, Johnson & Johnson Innovation. He’s responsible for transactional and partnership management activities and strategy in AsPac in pharmaceuticals, medical devices & diagnostics and consumer products, and for fund relationship and partnership in the region.  Jimmy was Managing Director, MSD Early Investments – Greater China at Merck & Co., responsible for Merck's venture investments, licensing, acquisitions, external research collaboration, and alliance management in Greater China.  Jimmy was a SVP at Synergenics, a professional service and venture firm founded and led by Dr. Bill Rutter, one of the founding fathers and pioneers of the biotech industry. Jimmy also led the negotiation of a biotech incubator and industrial real estate investment in a top 3 China city, amounting to $100M. Jimmy was previously a consultant at McKinsey, a patent agent at Morrison & Foerster, and a project manager at Novartis.
