Biography
Professor Xuefeng Lu received his Ph.D. degree at University of New Mexico in 2005 and did his Postdoc research at Stanford University during 2005 to 2008. Dr. Lu currently is the Deputy Director-General of the Qingdao Institute of Bioenergy and Bioprocess Technology (QIBEBT) and the Director of Key Laboratory of Biofuels, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). Dr. Lu is leading microbial metabolic engineering research of the CAS-QIBEBT and two major research areas of his group are including: (1) Photosynthetic production of biofuels and biochemicals in genetically engineered cyanobacteria; (2) Genetic engineering and omics- study of Aspergillus terreus for itaconic acid production
